August Great Month for Some Hedge Funds

According to Hedgeweek, the Eurekahedge Hedge Fund Index grew by 0.17 percent during the month of August. To date the fund was up by 6.58 percent. About 32.6 percent of hedge fund managers who are part of the index saw double-digit gains from January to August 2019.


Other indexes that rose in value this year include the Eurekahedge North American Hedge Fund Index, which grew by 6.04 percent year-to-date; and the Eurekahedge CTA/managed Futures Hedge Fund Index, which gained 2.22 percent in August.


Translated into assets under management, the North American hedge fund managers saw $69.6 billion worth of performance grow year-to-date. CTA/Managed Futures fund managers inked $12.1 billion in performance growth in August. That means on a year-to-date basis the AUM rose by $18.6 billion.
