Boockvar Moving to Omega After 18 Years with Miller Tabak

Miller Tabak equity strategist Peter Boockvar is changing venues after a tenure there of 18 years. Boockvar is moving on to work as a strategist and money manager at Omega Advisors, taking on a similar role to what he had at Miller Tabak.

Omega manages about $7 billion and is led by Leon Cooperman and Steve Einhorn. The hedge fund was founded in 1991 by Cooperman and invests mainly in US stocks. This strategy has earned Omaga an average 13 percent return annually since its inception. Einhorn joined Omega in 1999 and is now the vice-chairman.

Boockvar is 43 years old, and has been a sales trader at the equity desk at Miller Tabak, as well as working for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in the corporate bond research department. Boockvar is a graduate of George Washington University in Washington, DC.
