Megan Corcoran To Head Maples FS Americas Development

October 26, 2012 James Heinsman Hedge Fund News

Maples Fund Services, with offices in the Cayman Islands, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Montreal and New York, is expanding its US operations by naming Megan Corcoran to direct business development in the Americas.

Corcoran will call New York her home base and will be working with Scott Somerville, CEO of Maples SF. She will also be working closely with Toni Pinkerton, the head of fund services. Together they team will sell fund administration, middle office and risk services to head funds and other services to the alternative investments market.

The expansion was fueled by a more than 30 percent increase in assets under management for Maple during the past year. The new business development team is mostly a response to the growing market share now in North America.

“Megan’s experience providing customized solutions to clients opens opportunities for us to continue to expand into new market segments in the U.S.,” Pinkerton said. “With the continued enhancement of our product and technology offering, our business has grown considerably over the past year.”
